Accommodation
We are very proud of our accommodation at Lea Wood Cattery, Gainsborough. Your cats can expect a comfortable stay, enjoying fresh country air from bright, spacious runs where they can sunbathe and relax in the summer and enjoy a spectacular view.
At night they can snuggle up in their chalet's on washable non-slip fleecy bedding - especially chosen for its chiropractic qualities, with heat pads provided underneath on chillier nights.
Accommodation consists of 10 cat chalets of wood construction, overlooking a landscaped courtyard. Additional outside and inside features are planned for 2012 including 5 new chalets.
Each client who has visited Lea Wood Cattery have commented that the chalets are the best they have ever seen.
Each cat chalet is insulated and has a thermostatically controlled heater, keeping cats warm in winter and on cooler summer evenings.
We can also cater for larger families with family chalets housing up to 4 cats sharing.
We also have an isolation pen set away from the other chalets, built to the same specifications as the main cattery.
The whole complex is Alarmed for extra security.
The view from chalets 1-6
As a multi-cat owner and breeder and Cat Club Committee Member, Liz has a good understanding and rapport with cats and owners. You can be assured that your cat will have lots of attention, cuddles and plenty of fuss made of them. All cats will be groomed daily as part of their care - unless advised otherwise.
Cats are fed according to the wishes of their owners, as well as diabetic and weightwatcher diets catered for. A chart on each pen door keeps a record of the cat's eating preferences and any special needs. Every urination and defaecation is recorded to enable a close eye to be kept on each cat's state of health and well-being.
Litter trays are cleaned each morning, they are checked again at lunchtime and evenings with our last round at 10pm and any faeces removed. Catsan litter and Woodchip litter is provided, however, if another litter is required then this will be provided.
